In 2017, we won a gastronomic competition in Fengersfors with a locally produced cider that became the starting point for our own apple spirit.
Every year we pick local apples which are pressed into must at Åmåls Musteri. After 8 weeks it is fermented into a cider which is distilled into a new make apple spirit at Nordmarkens Destilleri which is located on the border between Dalsland and Värmland.
After 6 months in small barrels made of Swedish oak, we bottle "CalvaDal" at approximately 42% and you can taste "the harvest of the year". You can find CalvaDal and CalvaDal cider with us and at various selected hotels/restaurants around us in Dalsland.
